As a result of climate change caused by human activity, rising sea levels will have dramatic consequences for the Old Continent this century. From the calm waters of the Mediterranean to the stormy waves of the Black Sea, the refreshing coolness of the Baltic Sea and the harshness of the Atlantic, in the series "Mare" I explore how Europe is coping with this unpredictable threat. I seek answers to the questions - how is Europe preparing for the possibility of a rapid rise in sea level? Have its inhabitants already given up hope because they know that their efforts will ultimately prove in vain? Are the idyllic landscapes a harbinger of a coming catastrophe? If some predictions come true, the world's sea level could rise by 3-5 meters, which would cause the places in my photographs to disappear forever. I am not looking for signs of an approaching catastrophe, but rather trying to preserve, for the last time, the beauty of this coastline.
