Having launched a war as a fulminant blitzkrieg, Russia has, instead, become bogged down for years in an incredibly bloody conflict against a nation that refuses to be conquered. While the capabilities of the Ukrainian resistance against a much more powerful opponent depend to a large extent on the help of partners, over time, the news of the war turns into a routine, and fatigue sets in for people not directly participating in the conflict.
If everything continues in the same direction, possible successful solutions to end the conflict look less and less promising. Despite the war having acquired existential significance for the survival of the Ukrainian nation.
